“The spectacular Gun Hill is among the most famous tourist attractions of Mussoorie. It is the second-highest peak in the region after Lal Tibba. There is an interesting history that backs the popularity of Gun Hill. It is said that from this hilltop, the British used to fire.
Best Time To Visit:-
The monsoon from July to August in Mussoorie. If you are an offbeat traveller and want some time off in solitude then the best month to visit Mussoorie is August as in July the rainfall is pretty heavy. And since Uttarakhand is prone to landslides it is not advisable to travel during the months of monsoon.

Famous Food:- Some of the must-try preparations are Momos, noodles, coconut curry, soup, Chilly Potatoes, Chicken fried rice, sizzlers, noodles, spring rolls and fried rice. The shops of Mussoorie have a variety of pastries, cakes, muffins, puddings and frozen drinks which are freshly made.
What to Wear in Mussoorie:- Carry warm clothes no matter what time of year you are travelling. Also, dress in layers so that you can put on or take off a layer when the temperature changes suddenly. In winter especially, thermal wear and heavy jackets are a must. Carry extra pairs of clean socks at all times.
